Silver Lining Intervention

SILVER LINING INTERVENTION

ALCOHOL & DRUG INTERVENTIONS

Intervention - Drug and Alcohol

An intervention is a professional, collective effort by family and friends to address concerns about a loved one’s substance abuse, providing a pathway to expert treatment.

Our goal is to save your loved one’s life with empathy and expertise.

We pre-plan, direct and facilitate the intervention focusing on love and the impact of their alcohol & drug use on the family.

Enabling is no longer an option; we support you in setting necessary boundaries.

Families heal by setting boundaries and clearly communicating the consequences of continued use, ultimately motivating acceptance of a personalized recovery plan.

While every intervention is unique with its own set of individual personalities, our track record is quite successful with 95% of our IPs (Identified Patient) agreeing to go into treatment. There are no guarantees, but our track record speaks volumes.

Silver Lining provides Marchman Act consulting (when necessary) included in our Intervention services.

We provide 30 days of comprehensive intensive case management, supporting the entire family in healing together.

ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS

If you’ve tried everything in your power to get them to stop and nothing has worked, an intervention may be necessary.

The intervention is as much for you and your family as it is for the alcoholic addict.

The intervention gives you the peace of mind you’ve tried everything if they do not accept help.

The interventionist decides who is appropriate after discussing the history and details of each family member, friend, and employer.

The goal is to have a cohesive team.

Our pre-planning sessions prepare you for this possibility.

They have the right to refuse and we will explain our boundaries and what our positions are moving forward.

The enabling of the past stops today, regardless of whether they accept our treatment plan.

We expect and hope them to say yes, but we are prepared to stand firm for their well-being.

Insurance typically does not cover the cost of an intervention. Many insurance companies do cover all or a portion of inpatient and outpatient treatment.

We help coordinate with the treatment facilities and insurance companies

On-site interventions typically take one to two hours. Pre-planning, including rehearsals, may take days or weeks depending on team member’s availability.

While you can attempt it yourself, we strongly recommend using a professionally trained interventionist. They educate and train participants on what to expect and how to react, reducing the inherent stress and increasing the likelihood of a successful outcome.

A life is on the line, and it’s not worth the risk.

Ideally, an intervention involves three to nine significant individuals respected by the alcoholic addict.

This includes family members, grandparents, employers, and friends.

Drinking buddies are not included.

Anger is rare in our interventions; we often see surprise and relief.

Our professional facilitation ensures the narrative stays focused on their illness and the path to recovery, preventing arguments and maintaining a supportive environment.
